Price Chopper expands Shops4U program | Business

Price Chopper has expanded the Shops4U program for Albany and its surrounding areas. It will give customers of the Westgate Plaza online access to the store’s discounts and signature items.

According to a statement, online customers will also have access to fresh meat, produce and seafood for home delivery service.

“We created Price Chopper Shops4U in response to the call for a convenient shopping experience made by a growing number of our customers who are either too busy or unable to get to their local Price Chopper to shop for what they need,” said Jerry Golub, Price Chopper’s president and chief operating officer in a statement. “The offer was well-received and continues to grow for us in Schenectady, so we decided to incorporate Shops4U into our newly remodeled Westgate store, enabling us to offer this service to Albany customers.”

To shop Price Chopper online, customers can go to www.pricechopper.com and go to the online ordering tab. Once registered, customers can pick and choose their food items and orders can be picked up at the store or delivered to homes, offices or community gatherings.

The service fee for Price Chopper Shops4U is $10 with an additional $5.99 fee for delivery. For a limited time, Price Chopper is waiving the $10 service fee and the Schenectady Shops4U program is joining in on the grand opening promotion and waiving their fee as well.
