Young Volunteer receives Presidents Award
RENSSELAER - Emily Blohm, a student at Doane Stuart, has qualified for the Presidents Volunteer Service Award. The award recognizes Americans of all ages who have volunteered a significant time to serve their communities.
Emily earned her award through her volunteer work with Alzheimer’s patients at Bright Horizons, in Albany, and her work with the Youth Group of St. Mary’s Church in Rensselaer.
Emily has given over 100 hours of community service this year and over 350 since she started at Doane Stuart.
