The Citizens Bank Foundation made a five-figure donation for its summer hunger relief program. The donation is meant to help feed children who are unable to access school meal programs.
Citizens Bank President James Gaspo will present the Regional Food Bank with the donation on Wednesday, June 27 at Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York in Latham. The presentation will begin at 10:30 a.m.
According to a statement by Citizens Bank, the Citizens Bank Foundation is part of a broad, statewide initiative with food banks across New York to help relieve childhood hunger. Over the last five years, the foundation has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to food banks throughout the state.
Those attending the announcement will be, James Gaspo, president, Citizens Bank and RBS Citizens, New York; Mark Quandt, executive director, Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York and nearly two dozen Citizens Bank colleagues.
