NYS Senate bans synthetic marijuana | News

The New York State Senate today passed legislation that would make it illegal to sell or even possess synthetic marijuana.

The bill would also make it illegal to sell or possess hallucinogenic chemicals known as bath salts.

Supporters say these chemicals are just as dangerous as illegal drugs, maybe more so because right now they are readily available to children.

The state assembly is now considering the bill.
