Fire at the North Sewer Plant in Menands | News
The fire broke out around 5:00 this morning during a routine weekly shutdown on a rubber conveyor belt in the Solids Handling building.
Albany County Executive Daniel McCoy says he considers this a minor fire with "no threat to public safety or impact to the environment".
While the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, officals are considering it an accident.
