ALBANY – One of the busiest intersections in the City of Albany will be getting a much needed $18 million dollar makeover. The work is already underway at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Fuller Road that will eventually move Washington Avenue to the north to the other side of the newly constructed nano-tech building.
Joan McDonald, DOT Commissioner, says that at least 30,000 vehicles pass thru the intersection everyday and the realignment of the road as well as the addition of a roundabout will help ease the traffic load and also allow for future growth.
There isn’t expected to be as much disruption as one would think. They are planning on keeping the old road open while the new road is being constructed.
